Pensacola Fishing Report – Red Snapper, Lane Snapper, Vermilion Snapper & Triggerfish | Week Ending 06/07/2026 – Federal Gulf Snapper Season Opens

Deep Sea and Offshore Fishing Charter Pensacola

We ran two offshore fishing charters this past week in state waters with two families of four, both of them very nice families. Thank you for booking with us!

We fished depths ranging from 85 to 98 feet and found lane snapper, vermilion snapper, and red snapper, resulting in a Snapper Slam (species family slam) on both charters.

The larger triggerfish also made an appearance, as they seem to know their season is closed. One thing about triggerfish is that they always fight well above their weight class.

Our most productive baits included cut squid, cut tomtates, cut sand perch, chicken gizzards, and cut cigar minnows.

We also caught an octopus on a jig and returned him safely to the water.

Dolphins made several appearances throughout the week. Fortunately, they didn’t take any fish on the way up, but they certainly intercepted a few baits on the way down.

Inshore Fishing Charter Pensacola

We had no inshore charters this week and did no scouting due to other charters, commitments and limited weather opportunities.
