Mr Paul and Mr Eric were awesome too fish with! Thank yall for the great time we had and thank you for making sure my grandpa was good and comfortable the entire trip! He had been wanting to go deep sea fishing and yall made sure we walked away with some memories! If yall are looking for someone to take you and your people out fishing, look no further! Captains Paul and Eric were great from the moment we stepped onto the boat. They were prepared for everything; from needing to borrow a pair of glasses to having rain jackets for the nice shower we got on our trip. They got us onto the fish and were incredibly helpful with anything we needed. This was the first offshore trip for 3 of the four in our group and both captains made sure that it was an experience to remember for all of us! We will definitely be booking with them again next year!

We had a great trip! Despite Tropical storm Bertha captain Paul did everything he could to make sure we got our trip In while we were in town. He and Eric were both very helpful, courteous and very professional. They also were able to put us on the fish! If you’re looking to book a trip out of the Pensacola area you should definitely book with Double D! We will be making it an annual trip!

Great trip with Captains Paul and Eric. They worked hard to get us on fish and we had a blast. Great communication before and after the trip. Caught good eaters and big fighters too. The 6 hr trip allowed us to find fish in deeper water. Highly recommend them and can’t wait for the next trip.

My father and I had an incredible experience with Paul and Eric! From the moment we stepped on the boat, the two were friendly, professional, and extremely welcoming. The boat was well kept, clean, and docked with one step onto the side of the boat and then one step in, so fairly easy access. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, constantly checking in to see if we needed anything, and making sure we were having a great time. We felt comfortable asking for anything we needed, and really didn’t have to bring a thing, they had everything covered! Water, jackets, toilet, life vests, plenty of bait, poles, licenses, etc… (unless you wanted a snack out there!) The fishing was excellent— we rode about 40 minutes off the inland and caught a fish on every cast.. some in season, some not, some keepers, some not. Overall we had a fish on at pretty much all times. The two took great care of us. We also saw so much marine life, which made the trip even more memorable. We got our fish cooked at Shaggy’s immediately after! Blackened red snapper and had everything else fried. Hush puppies and fries on the side! We had an excellent time. Paul and Eric were able to get us into fish every time we stopped. They were helpful and patient with us and really helped my 10 year old have a good time. I would recommend them every time.

Double D got us in the fish! Both Captains Paul and Eric hustled keeping bait on our poles and lines in the water. We caught trigger fish, red snapper, vermillion snapper, almoco jack,and remora. A beautiful dolphin made a surprise visit for several minutes too! Thanks to Double D for your hospitality!

This was by far the best charter experience I've had in this area. Captain and Mate are very conscientious of customer comfort during all aspects of the trip. They worked non stop to keep us on fish. We quickly limited on Vermillion Snapper and caught 6 other species. Can't say enough good things about them. They are the only charter I will use going forward.

Above and Beyond: A Memorable Day with Double D Fishing Charter We went on a trip with Double D Fishing Charter, and despite the rainy weather, the captain made sure we still had a great experience. He adjusted our sail time to work around the rain and even stayed out past the allotted time since the first two spots didn’t produce keepers. Eric and Paul were fantastic—when I lost my grip on the reel, they jumped right in to help, and they made sure everyone on board felt comfortable. Don’t be afraid to ask for a hand—some of these fish put up a serious fight! They also went the extra mile by providing rain jackets, which helped us a lot in the weather, and at the end of the trip, they cleaned and filleted the fish for us to take home. Overall, a great experience with a hardworking and friendly crew. Highly recommend Double D Fishing Charter if you’re looking for a charter that goes above and beyond to make sure you have a memorable day on the water. We went out again this past weekend, weather forced a change from Saturday to Friday, and Captain Paul was extremely accommodating throughout. He put us right on amberjack, spadefish, and quality vermilion snapper. His expertise is evident, he’s dialed in, knows the waters well, and consistently puts you on fish. Captain Eric was awesome! He took my son and I to some great spots. We caught a lot of fish, including a 31” red snapper and a 35” amberjack. We had a lot of fun, would definitely recommend it!

Paul and Eric were both professional and personable. Very friendly. We had a group of four, two of which were women. They mentioned they were more comfortable with Paul and Eric than amy other guides we have fished with previously. They were also both a wealth of knowledge for local fishing areas we could explore on our own as well as local businesses to visit for dining and such. Heck, I think we may even met some new friends. We would highly recommend them and look forward to our next visit with them.

It was my first time for all 4 of us , my son and two grandsons on a 24 footer boat so far out in the ocean. Captain Douglass and his son made us very comfortable on our way out, while we were out there and on our way back. They are a very professional and knowledgeable team. I have never caught so many fish in one day much less four hours. We all had a blast. Thank you Captain Douglass we will be back.

We had absolute blast fishing today! Paul and Eric are great. Party of three and there was a fish on every time we dropped our lines. Brought us to plenty of fishing locations that had various species. They were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable! Weather wasn’t in our favor but they worked with our vacation and we were able to get out still on the best possible day we were there. It still rained but the fishing was amazing. We were fortunate to find Double D for our fishing experience while in Pensacola. They provided everything we needed! Our trip out in the gulf was a little bumpy but they gave us some jackets ro wear to keep us comfy. There were many fish species hooked and released due to size and season, but it was fun catching them plus we learned about air bladders and Florida rules and regulations. We went home with 2 Grey triggerfish that Eric and Paul filleted and skinned perfectly. The pictures attached are 2 meals we enjoyed. Fish and eggs for breakfast and fish with a lemon beurre blanc topped with fried capers served on a bed of sautéed spinach with sweet potato cubes. We also caught and released 3 large amber jacks! It was a fabulous day spent on the water with the father and son team!!! You won't go wrong booking with Double D Charters!!!

Excellent charter fishing experience! We booked a 4 hour experience for me, my husband, and our 8 year old daughter. They were courteous, very knowledgeable, and accommodating. They did a great job at helping our daughter catch fish so she had a great time. We even stopped to see the Blue Angels practicing on our way back into the dock. Great time!

These guys are great! I have booked many charters with my family and I have had varying experiences, but these guys were tops across the board. Communication, Preparation, Equipment, Methodology, Attentiveness, Safety... All of it was beyond anything we have experienced and that added up to a great day on the water with a lot of success! Take advantage of their off-shore option and you likely won't be disappointed. Will book again any time we are in the area!

Fished for 6 hours with Eric and Paul for my sisters birthday, it was a great time and we caught a ton of fish. Would highly recommend these guys, they are locked into the producing fishing spots and the action was pretty much non-stop the entire half day trip.

Me and my 2 buddies had an epic time with captain Paul! He was super generous, kind, and patient. He made sure we caught plenty of fish. He took us to multiple spots and provided cold water. We will be booking him again next time we’re in Pensacola/Gulf Breeze area

I surprised my husband with a deep sea fishing trip for his birthday, and it’s quite possible this will be the birthday gift from now on! We had SO MUCH fun. Unfortunately, Captain Eric wasn’t able to join us, but Captain Paul didn’t skip a beat. He put us right on a wide assortment of fish, and if there was ever a time that the fish weren’t biting, he didn’t waste ANY time getting us on the next spot. Some of what we were able to keep were Almaco Jack, Vermillion, Tile fish, Grouper, Porgy, and Red Snapper. We also hooked a Puffer fish and several Triggerfish that we were unable to keep due to them being out of season or too small. Captain Paul has a true passion for fishing and is more than thrilled to share his knowledge with others. His patience is top notch, as this was mine and my husband’s first time! I HIGHLY recommend Double D’s for anyone looking to have a great day on the water reelin’m in!!

Had an absolutely great experience with Captain Paul and Eric. Communication was prompt, on time, boat was great and they went the extra mile to make sure my mom had a wonderful first inshore experience. Snagged some sheepshead, specs, reds, and bass. Paul was gracious sharing knowledge of the area and fish movement (I’m a local). Would not hesitate to book Double D again and I’d encourage you reading this review to do the same!

Lucky to have found them! Amazing trip! We had a really nice time taking our boys (11 & 13) on their first salt water charter. Paul and Eric were extremely knowledgeable about fishing and the area, and also nice to chat with! They were patient, kind, and so helpful to my boys. My younger son, who wasn’t initially interested in fishing, is now hooked!! We were out for my 13 yo’s birthday - and he couldn’t have been happier. The boys both caught several fish - and one crab by accident. We enjoyed a dolphin swimming along the boat for quite a while, and also saw a sea turtle pop up to wave. Extremely thankful for our trip - it made our vacation more memorable for sure! Highly recommend & will look them up again when we return.

Captain Paul and Eric did a fantastic job for us. They are a great team. They made sure we all had a good time, they kept our lines baited and are very knowledgeable about the fish. They took us to various places in the water to make sure we had fish biting and that we were catching fish. They are very patient and helpful. We had never gone fishing and they made it such a good time. We caught some awesome fish and got to see some other cool sights like sea turtles, dolphins, and other things. This was a great trip for our family. I would highly recommend them.

We caught so many different kinds of fish including Red Snapper and a rare 63” Atlantic Sailfish!
