Pensacola Fishing Report – Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Amberjack & Triggerfish | Week Ending 06/28/2026 – State and Federal Waters
Deep Sea and Offshore Fishing Charter Pensacola
We got offshore twice this week. We had a father-son trip and a an individual trip both run on the same day. The current was non-existent in the morning but by the afternoon run, it was effecting everything we sent down. We had to use 10oz weights to even think about going straight d0wn in the afternoon while a 4oz weight was doing it in the morning. From input of other charter captains, it remained that way for the remainder of the week. We caught Amberjack, red snapper, vermilion snapper, triggerfish and 5 bobos (bonita/little tunny/false albacore), on the day. Customers wanted a couple of meals worth of fish and then to catch some bigger fish and after collecting the groceries, we got out to play with the AJs and bonita. The afternoon was a 20mi run offshore that was primarily a jigging charter. AJs were very active, triggerfish were in the mix as well. We had many of our fish hit by barracuda and sharks but it was still lots of fun especially to see the barracuda slice through some of the fish we brought up.
